WACCO stands for Wisconsin Area Camera Club Organization. This is a statewide group that consists of about 13 camera clubs in Wisconsin. In order to enter these competitions, a photographer needs to be a member of one of these clubs.
PSA stands for Photographic Society of America. This is a nation-wide group of individuals and camera clubs. In order to enter these competitions, a photographer needs to be a member of one of these clubs.

All entries must be entered as digital. PSA Region 21 consists of pretty much the same clubs as WACCO. Participating clubs then get to score all other clubs’ entries. PSA Council’s Challenge |
Once a year. Our club’s entries are due by the end of April.
These entries are given to WACCO and they, in turn, select those entries that they will forward to the actual competition. WACCO, who is our PSA Council, then competes with other PSA councils.
|
Categories include: Color digital Black/white digital Prints Each club submits up to 4 images in each of these categories. The images are then shown at the yearly PSA International Conference that is held in August or September each year. Results will be given to the clubs in November. Prints will be returned at that same time. No individual awards will be given. |
